Fashion designer,
Jayne Pierson, successfully showcased
her debut Paladin Collection S/S 2010 exclusively with On|Off at London Fashion Week
in September 2009 sponsored by Vogue.com and Lotus. On|Off is the renowned
independent showcase which also successfully presented The Titania's
Dream Collection A/W 2010 collection at both London and Paris
Fashion Weeks. During this collection Jayne Pierson was cited as a
Vogue Italia's 'New Talent'.
Following this success, Jayne presented the Twin
Parallel Collection S/S 2011 again with leading showcase, On|Off.
Jayne also devised a fashion film that was exclusively shown online with Vogue Italia following
the catwalk presentation and that season Pierson was noted for the
second time as a Vogue
Italia 'New Talent'.
Twin Parallel
Spring Summer 2011 fashion film also won an award at Diane Pernet's
'A Shaded View of Fashion Film Awards'. Jayne Pierson collaborated
with director Justin Anderson to create and devise a fashion film
that reflected the concept for her collection for Spring Summer
2011. It was awarded, on the 8th of October 2011 at the Pompidou
Centre, Paris the ‘Best Styling Award’ for a fashion film. Jayne
was both the designer and the stylist on the film and she was
honoured to receive such a prestigious award.
It
was also featured in French Vogue online.
Pierson
launched her fourth season with On|Off at London Fashion Week,
Kingdom of the Shadows Collection A/W 2011/12 and collaborated on a fashion film
with Tuuli and Rankin, 'Switch ON'. This was a unique opportunity to
promote the collection with On|Off in association with the newly
launched W Hotel, Leicester Square.
This season, Jayne
Pierson's fifth collection, The Mobius Strip S/S 2012 was showcased
with the Royal Ballet's principal dancers at a stand alone catwalk
show at the Show Space sponsored by Sebastian Professional and the
Coterie at London Fashion Week.
Jayne Pierson graduated from the
University of Glamorgan with a First Class BA Honours degree in
Fashion Design, combining additional units of study from Central St.
Martins, London. Jayne went on to win the London Graduate Fashion
Week Ecological Design Award amongst many other national
competitions. Jayne Pierson also gained a wealth of luxury brand
experience interning and working for couture designers
Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.
Prior to starting her
career in fashion, Welsh designer, Jayne Pierson, studied Performance
Art and Drama at the University of Kent. Pierson worked right across the media
industry for the best part of a decade, primarily as a
singer/songwriter with EMI and in A&R with her own group
achieving a
top twelve single in 1995 and winning the favour of BBC Radio One
DJ, Jo Whiley with 'favourite single of the year'. She has worked on
music promos, advertising and marketing campaigns and various other
creative projects for high-profile artists.
Jayne continues to style
and design for artists, musicians and actresses.
